Fevers, Coughs, Sniffles, Sneezing, Headaches... that was March.
We did have a few highlights... first and foremost, the birthdays of Haley (at the beginning of the month), and Aaron at the end of the month.
I've been too sick or busy playing catchup from being sick, that I haven't had time to dig out their pictures of when they were little little, to do their Birthday Post! It's a little overwhelming to find and scan their pix, so here I am.
Haley turned 10 and I think she had quite a fun day! She's getting so big and her hair is getting the longest it's ever been. She is one heck of a beauty! She has become quite the organizer. Just the other day she cleaned out and organized my silverware drawer! She can be a great help with the little ones too. She is enjoying school, is reading Harry Potter book 4 (I don't know what it is called), and likes to watch Amazing Race with me Sunday evenings after the little ones have gone to bed.

Haley talking to Grandma Anderson right before she blows out her candles on her ice cream cake that she picked out when Roman took her to lunch (with a friend) to DQ.

Aaron, my very first baby, turned 13 during Spring Break! I can't believe he is a teenager. He still hugs and kisses me at bedtime though :) . Aaron LOVES going to West. He loves to learn. My guess is his fave classes are Life Science and World Studies. He joined the track team a few weeks ago, so now he gets home last, instead of first. I miss our talks during my quiet time. He loves to read as well, and is currently reading the 4th book in The City of Ember series. I let him read the first three books of Twilight (he's an Edward fan), but decided book four was too racy for anyone that isn't married (ha ha!), so I just gave him a recap of the story. He too loves to snuggle up with Haley and me and watch Amazing Race Sunday evenings. It's a fun little thing the three of us do together. He's a big sports fan, and chose his brackets pretty well - right now he is #1 in the ESPN group Roman set up. He's got UNC taking it all the way.
During spring break, Roman took Wed, Thur, and Fri off so we could get the back yard cleaned up for spring so my preschool friends could play out back. This entailed getting rid of the old swingset that was falling apart. I had budgeted some money when I moved preschool over here - intending to get a new swing set. Well, everything ended up being more than what either of us had anticipated. A very long story short, Roman (and Jake, who so nicely helped Roman out), ran into our Bisohps wife. When she found out we needed a new swingset she was thrilled because she's been wanting to get rid of hers (their youngest is the age of Aaron). 2 hours later, Roman and Jake were putting the used Rainbow set together in our back yard. What a blessing that was for us!
This is turning out to be a novel. Other things we did:
- cut down one of those big messy long needle pine tree's in order to make a sunny area for our SF Garden.
- Roman found some used wood at ReStore to make 6 boxes for our garden. It cost him a whopping $11!
- Roman went with Aaron on the campout and survived (he was whining about camping in the cold).
- Cathy mopped the kitchen floor, only to have muddy shoe prints do their thing the very next day (no, she has not mopped it again).
- Haley was gone most of the week - went to Rexburg with her BFF and their family. We missed her! Especially Megan who cried when she left.
- Wished for warm weather, like we had right BEFORE spring break.
- Swept the floor 28.5 times, since Logan is scooting everywhere and eats anything (and I mean ANYTHING) in sight!
And I seriously think I'm getting ANOTHER COLD!!!! My immune system isn't working this year! Last year I didn't get sick ONE BIT! :( I'll hope it is a quick one.
3 peeps sharin the love!:
Golly, your kids are so big and so cute, as if you didn't know. I hear you about the coughs sneezes, sniffles, sore throats. We were fine all winter and then BAM - it's nailed us hard and we have everything under the sun...or clouds, since there is no sun these days. Here's hoping you guys get better and you can fight off that cold!
Loved catching up on your family!!! So sorry you've had such a sicky rough month!!!
I can't believe how grown up Aaron and Haley are getting, and Logan has lots of hair! I hope you guys are feeling better! We're excited to see you in a couple weeks!
