A New Record for ME!!

My family should be happy about my new blog addiction. I've found so many great things while browsing from one blog to another (all while sitting in my rocker). I have "cooked" dinner 6 out of the past 8 days! One night was my date night, the other we fed the kids chicken nuggets and Roman made a Panda run. Here is what I did (I'm so proud of myself!):

  1. Sun - threw Marinaded Pork Chops on the grill, boiled pots (potatoes) & asparagus (all kids loved the green stuff, except Roman).
  2. Mon - "hacos" (tacos)
  3. Tues - BBQ chix on the "bawbie"
  4. Thur - a *casserole* (I never make casseroles!) that I got from my friend Monica that has sour cream, cream of chix soup, poppy seeds and shredded chicken with crushed Ritz crackers (mixed with melted butter) on top. It was a hit (and easy shmeezy)! Every last morsel was eaten and Roman wished there were leftovers for lunch (I'll have to make this one again!).
  5. Sat - Boogers, I mean burgers on the BBQ. Threw some fries in the oven, and made Homemade Vanilla Ice cream (this recipe was a bit too rich for Roman and Haley).
  6. Sun - German Pancakes - but these were fun because you bake them in cupcake tins!
A few other things I've been making - all from my new favorite cooking blog, Picky Palate. We did Pizza Roll ups for lunch one day, and I've made Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies, Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Bars, and Cookies and Cream Swirled Brownies with Chocolate Peanut Butter Ganache.

BUT, I did find a cool website where I can watch parts of and full segments of exercise videos! Just need to start doing them now!

~you may now pat me on the back~

So you guys finally found *poppy seed chicken*, huh? (just think Cathy, another name for you to get creative with) I love the stuff, that is the first meal i asked Dacia to make for me when we had our first home-cooked meal together here in Cali. It is so delish. Did you try it on top o steamed rice? it is awesome.
