Beadboard is Beautiful!! {mini-kitchen remodel series}

Things were pretty busy in August, so I didn't have much time to work on my kitchen. So here is a refresher, since it's been quite a while since I started!! Remember the BEFORE?

Here we are today!!

I absolutely love it. I love the way it looks (please note: I still need to paint the baseboards black!! I'm not leaving them white! And I also need to get some stuff on my walls!) I also love it because we did it in a nice paint that cleans up so easily.

As for my cabinets... well, I haven't had time to truly tackle them. My first two methods of removing the paint were painstakingly slow and discouraging. Once I get preschool underway and life running somewhat smoothly (does that ever happen?), I intend to get working on it again. I'm hoping within the next few weeks to get started on it! I thought I'd share the current progress.

9 peeps sharin the love!:

I really like it. We are going to be painting our kitchen sometime in the near future. I don't think I can afford to do the bead board but we have molding half way up the wall so hopefully that could give us a similar look. LOVE IT!

I'm glad you all like it - thanks!

Aubri - Roman is quite charming, isn't he?

Becky - I was surprised at how inexpensive the beadboard and chair rail was... of course I don't know how much area you have to cover, but I only had to purchase 2 4x8 pieces of beadboard, and about 24' of trim. It was around $75. I already had primer, and then the gallon of the really nice paint was $28... this was with Jake's painters discount! All in all, about $100. Good luck with all of your projects. I look forward to seeing them on your blog!

Hey, my mom told me she really enjoyed your testimony in church yesterday. Wish I'd been there.
