My family is happy. Tonight I made this and made some of these to put in it. Man it is good! This is one of our favorites. My dear friend Julie taught me how to make it about 10 years ago (see, I've needed help with cooking for a very long time). Tonight I made some for my friend Niki and her family. She just had her DARLING AND SO BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY!! Congrats Niki!
10 peeps sharin the love!:
Soup is looking delicious! I ate cereal for dinner tonight--Ryan is out of town. Funny how that happens--'easy stuff' when dad is gone. Who are we trying to impress anyway? Ha. Why not serve the cereal, mac and cheese, raman noodles, grilled cheese, etc. when the BOSS is home? It could simplify life a bit. Ha Ha. (I did make a nice ham and potatoe dinner last night before he went on his way--I really think you DO get to a man's heart through his belly! Ha Ha.) Way to go on the menu's Cathy. Someday I'll get 'there'. I'm lucky I put ANYTHING on the table most nights! I'm not a very good 'Molly'. Sigh. My kids thought cereal was great. Oh, I guess Avery ate a whole bag of Chips Ahoy for dinner (I don't know how I missed that one--I caught her with about six cookies left) She's a piece of work I tell ya! I suppose I ought to post this stuff instead of just rambling on and on. Thanks for your comments. It's always fun to see that someone has an interest in the WHAT'S UP of my life! See ya later!
For the record, this is about the second time I've made a REAL dinner in at least a week! We've had many cereal/oatmeal/eggo waffle nights the past 10 days. I've just been too busy and by the time dinner rolls around I'm at my wits end and it's the last thing I want to "waste" my time doing (hee hee). So sad. This is one reason I signed up to take dinner to Niki... It made me commit to cooking at least one night this week! I'm so with you on the not cookin when the man is gone (although, as I said, lately it's just plain ol NOT COOKIN ANYTIME!).
Hi there!
Thanks for letting me know about the recipe. Unfortunately we don't get canned soups or broths in Italy... they love their fresh foods and don't really can much. Do you have any idea how I could substitute it?
I just LOVE egg noodles, they taste so different to the regular kind. I can just imagine, it must have been so yummy!!
Hope you and your family are having a super week!
Take care :)
